Peer reviews for project one were extremely beneficial to not only myself but for my peer review group as well. Various suggestions were brought up along the way including splitting my paragraphs up so there are not multiple ideas hidden between each other as well as making my paper flow more. Others included suggestions to expand on quotes and not sound so repetitive in my structure of my essay. The best suggestion that I received during this group meeting was to add more tension to battle with my thesis in order to give the reader an overall sense of the pros and cons of soylent rather than just stating my own case to only support what I am trying to convey. What was not captured in the comments that came up during the peer review was the sense of tension that we all needed to incorporate more of in our papers. After going through the entire list of comments as well as the feedback letters of each essay we discovered that neither of us talked about the tension needed in this paper that is essential to the effectiveness of the work. What I wish came up during the session was the organization of the essay referring to number of paragraph and ideas. We all had a variety in paragraphs and it would of been nice to go over how we each came up with the idea of how to organize our ideas through evidence to how many paragraphs would satisfy our claims. Back in high school we had nothing like this our teacher would just set a date and we would go in and hand it in and never look back. This peer review gave me so much more confidence and satisfaction as I finally handed in my final draft feeling good with what I produced.
